Coverage
Covers manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship for BCDC Alpha100 R unit (BCDC12100R), included Smart Battery Monitor, battery sense lead, R-Bus cable, terminating resistor, and mounting hardware. Warranty applies from date of purchase with valid proof of purchase.
Exclusions
Does not cover damage from improper installation, incorrect input voltage exceeding specified ranges (9-32V DC alternator, 9-48V DC solar), reverse polarity connection, input current exceeding 110A limits, physical impact damage, water ingress from inadequate sealing or mounting, overheating from insufficient ventilation clearance (minimum 50mm clearance required all sides), or use with incompatible battery types without proper configuration. Thermal derating at high ambient temperatures is normal operating behavior and not a warranty defect.
Installation Requirements
Installation must follow REDARC installation manual specifications. Warranty validity requires proper wire gauge selection for 100A current capacity (minimum 6mm² recommended), secure mounting in ventilated location with thermal clearance, correct fusing on all inputs (125A recommended for alternator input), proper battery sense lead connection, and programming for correct battery chemistry. Installation by qualified automotive electrician strongly recommended for high-current applications.
Firmware Updates
Regular firmware updates through RedVision app may be required to maintain warranty validity and access latest charging algorithms and MPPT optimization features.
