BCDCN1225 Charger Housing
Sealed aluminium enclosure with conformal coating on PCB for moisture and vibration resistance. Fan-free convection cooling design operates up to 80°C ambient. Compact dimensions suitable for under-seat, side panel, or floor mounting.
Wiring Kit Components
Pre crimped tinned copper cables with automotive-grade insulation. Terminal block with plastic cover allows field trimming without special tools. Fuse kit includes inline fuse holders with weather seals. WAGO connectors for solar connections. Protective conduit included for exposed cable runs.
Connection Terminals
Screw terminals on charger for DC input, DC output, and solar input. Ring terminals pre-crimped on battery cables. Anderson connector [if included] for solar panel connection.
Mounting Hardware
Stainless steel mounting bracket with vibration-resistant rubber isolation mounts. M5 socket head screws, nylon locking nuts, and flat washers included.
Primary Applications
- In-cabin dual battery systems for 4WD vehicles
- Ute/pickup truck with auxiliary battery in rear tray or canopy
- Wagon/SUV with auxiliary battery under rear floor or cargo area
- Camper trailer battery charging via Anderson plug
- Caravan auxiliary battery systems
Installation Locations
- Under rear seats in wagons or crew cab utes
- Behind side panels in cargo areas
- Under rear floor in 4WD cargo spaces
- Inside canopy or tray-mounted battery boxes
- In-cabin drawer systems
Typical System Configuration
Charges single 12V auxiliary battery from vehicle alternator and/or solar panels. Suitable for battery capacities 50Ah to 200Ah. Compatible with high-current loads including inverters (up to ~2000W), DC fridges, lighting, water pumps, and communication equipment.
Charging Sources
- Vehicle alternator (DC-DC) while driving - compatible with standard and variable voltage alternators
- Simultaneous DC and solar charging with automatic source prioritization
Cable Run Requirements
Wiring kit supports installations where starter and auxiliary batteries are separated by 3-8.5 metres. For shorter runs (<3m), standard shorter cable kits recommended. For runs exceeding 8.5m, not suitable.
Not Suitable For
24V auxiliary battery charging (charger is 12V output only). Starter battery charging (auxiliary battery systems only). Use without proper battery management system on LiFePO4 batteries.
